I live in Hopewell Junction, New York with my wife, 2 daughters, and 2 dogs. I have been teaching Mathematics in the Croton-Harmon School District for 18 years. During this time frame, I have coached all levels of girls’ and boys’ athletic teams for a total of 49 seasons. I understand the value of offering students experiences outside the classroom and I know how to help them to get the most out of these experiences.
I have enjoyed exploring the wilderness of the Canadian and U.S. Rockies, American Southwest, Hawaii, Appalachian Mountains, and Ecuador for over 30 years. I earned my guiding license for backpacking/camping in 2003 from the New York State Outdoor Guiding Association and have been organizing such adventures for adults in the Northeast for the past eight years.
