As you get going, there are a number of questions that are sure to come to mind. Just remember. All questions are good questions, as long as you ask them! Here are a few commonly asked questions.

  • Is there a specific enrollment deadline?
No, although programs are filled on a first-come first-served basis. After a program reaches capacity, applications will be placed on a waiting list.

  • When do we get a final itinerary for our particular tour?
A few weeks prior to departure you will receive a final packet. Inside you will find two copies of the final itinerary.  One is for the participant to take with them and the other is to remain at home.   The final itinerary will include air schedules, hotel names and contact information, daily activities and any other pertinent information.

  • What happens if an Edu-Ventures Guide becomes unable to lead the group?
If a guide is unable to lead the trip, we will assign another highly qualified guide to manage the tour.  We make sure that there is always an extra guide ready to go as a back-up in case of emergencies.  Even if the guide needs to be replaced in the middle of the trip, we will send a new guide to complete the itinerary.

  • What happens if a participant becomes sick on the trip?
It is mandatory for each participant to have returned the Medical and Travel Authorization form before travelling.  This form will allow us to seek medical attention if necessary until a parent/guardian can be reached.  Our first priority is to get the sick participant medical care as soon as possible. Edu-Ventures will contact the parent/guardian to provide an update as soon as possible.  Every effort will be made to ensure direct contact between the student and the parent/guardian.  Although the rest of the group may move on to continue the itinerary, a chaperone will remain with the sick participant.

  • May individuals provide their own air transportation?
No.  At this time we do not run itineraries for land only prices.

  • Do you provide transportation to the airport?
No.  It is up to the parent/guardian to provide transportation to/from the airport.  We want to make sure that every participant gets checked in properly.  Parents may leave after the participant has been properly checked in at the airport.

  • May individuals leave the tour to visit relatives or friends while overseas?
Yes, but participants must obtain a Letter of Authorization from Edu-Ventures and submit it before departure from the U.S. Students must also have the approval of their parents and lead chaperone, but final approval is granted by Edu-Ventures. This approval is mainly based on the impact on the itinerary for the overall group.

  • Is it possible to request an air deviation?
We will gladly work with you to make the appropriate arrangements.

  • What is your refund policy?
You can find the specifics of our refund policy here
